I failed to obtain the Beta driver that I now know is available, and have aquired, in advance. I installed Vista, and Vista thinks my 256 is a standard vga. When I go the display icon, it says run app as a dll has failed, and cannot find a solution, and will not let me install the driver, and sticks me at an 800 by 600 res on a monitor that is a native 1280 by 1024. It also thinks my video card is built in for some reason, it isn't. I'm afraid that if I uninstall the hardware it thinks is built in , it won't work at all. Should I start over?

Nvidia 6200 256 question
I have the same problem, Bob. I just installed my new 6200 thinking all would be fine.
We just lowered the AGP aperture in the BIOS from 256 to 64 (my card is 512) and disabled a few things like the floppy drive and now I can finally see a good resolution.
Still working on it, will update you.

I have installed the drivers from nVidia OK, but I can't use standby or hibernate. I have the 64bit as opposed to 128bit version of the 256Mb card.
Windows Vista, 10billion in the making? Bill Gates should sticking to donating money to kids in Africa, this is appalling.
